Description
The Aluminized Back Industrial Welding Gloves supplied by Zeroxh Chemicals & Engineering represent the pinnacle of thermal protection for extreme high-heat environments. Unlike standard leather gloves that absorb heat over time, these gloves feature a specialized aluminum foil layer on the back of the hand. This reflective surface acts as a thermal shield, bouncing radiant heat away from the wearer—essential for high-amperage welding where the arc temperature is intense.
The palm and fingers are constructed from heavy-duty split cowhide, providing the rugged abrasion resistance and grip needed for handling hot metal, slag, and tools. To ensure long-term durability, the entire glove is sewn with Kevlar® thread, which won’t char or snap under heat stress. Inside, a soft, flame-retardant lining absorbs sweat and adds a final layer of insulation, ensuring the wearer remains comfortable during extended shifts in foundries or heavy fabrication shops.
Common Uses & Applications:
-
-
High-Amp MIG & Stick Welding: Provides critical protection against intense radiant heat and heavy spatter.
-
Foundry & Smelting Operations: Shielding hands from the extreme thermal radiation of molten metals.
-
Furnace & Kiln Maintenance: Ideal for workers performing repairs or adjustments in high-heat proximity.
-
Metal Forging & Glassmaking: Protects against both radiant heat and the risk of contact with hot surfaces.
